Home - A Week in Faversham - Wednesday

As it was our 8-month anniversary we decided to go to Canterbury. It's a large city well-known for the Cathedral, boat trips, Chaucer Tales and much more.

The trip to Canterbury took only 11 minutes and the cathedral can be seen a few miles away in the distance.

The train stopped at Canterbury East, and we walked along the city walls. We climbed up a small hill and took this photo of Canterbury Cathedral in the distance.

We had breakfast at the Old Weavers Restaurant. This is a lovely, historic building on the main high street and on the river Stour. You can enjoy your food and drink while the local wildlife swims past

After breakfast, we went on a boat tour along the Stour river

The boat tour lasted about 45 minutes.

We floated past the Marlow Theatre

Our captain, tour guide and engine was Sophia from Finland (She did all the rowing and talking)
